hello everyone
I recently got a PS4 for Christmas and let me say that I am moderately pleased with the first two additions to my PS4 collection. Please remember that this is for the campaign only not the online component
WATCH DOGS this is an ok game, so let me start out with what it is goo
First the
Story is thought out and it does hook you in, the main character you play has a pretty good motivation for his actions and for the reasons he does things.
The setting, the city of futuristic Chicago could pass fr present day Chicago and the surrounding areas.
The Characters are thought out and you see why the main character does what he does.
The problems all stem form one source the game mechanics. IT is the same as AC, or Infamous. where you go around hacking nodes to get side mission. You could put this game in the AC or Infamous and it would look and play t same. I believe they have run this dead horse n the ground now.
Final verdict, while it has a good story and characters the mechanics bring it down. it is a good first entry in new ip and if they can change things up a little this series could go far.

KILLZONE:SHADOW FALL
I have been a fan of the series since the first killzone came out on PS2 many moons ago, and this game is just as good as the others.
The game changes things up a bit which from the original three is definitely a different pace and a good one at that, instead of having an entire army behind you, you are a lone soldier choosing peace while your superiors choose war.
It is a very interesting twist to see the VSA change from the good guy in the original three to almost the villains in this one, and to see the original bad guys in the original three( the Helgast) to almost become the victims the vektans once were.
The game mechanics are very good and the ability the OWL with stun, cover and repelling is incredibly useful. the enemies also are not cannon fodder they will hide, sniper cover each other and heal their comrades. The level design is top notch from out door environments, to space stations, also the pace is mixed up, with sometimes you go in guns blazing sometimes you sneak into a situation.
The sound is incredible and they thing they do with the controller is very unique and really displays the power of the system. The guns are great but I will say that I was disappointed with the Vektan guns in this game, I thought they would have been more powerful but that is nit picky. The extras to find throughout the game are hard to find but worth the journey
Still this is a great game one I really enjoy playing with a great story and one where you don't get the whole I have done this before feeling.
