War After Armageddon by Ralph Peters Book Review

hello all
For me it was a good book, to put it bluntly this is a book about what happens when religious fanaticism runs rampant around the world and the wars it can spawn, whether you are Christan , Jew, or Muslim we all know of the crazies that can take the religion we so believe in an twist it in a way that can justify bloodshed, this book shows us what happens when this is allowed to occur and the effects on the world and on the people who happen to live on this earth, how it can change everything and also how it can destroy everything. This is a good book with good character and a good background on how everything began and also how the characters came to be where they are in the book. If you are very religious and cannot stand anyone else who may not believe in your god then don't read this book, but if you can stand to be by people who either don't believe in god or believe in a different god then try this book, it may not change you mind about religion but it will make you think,

Pros
characters are well done, and the back drop is well though out
the map in the front and the glossary of characters and terms in the back is extremely helpful at times
the actions taken by the characters are legitimate and not to over the top.
the ending while a little over the top is good and make the book worth reading
the writer makes sure that you are not lost by the military terms used in the book or by the tactics the that both militarizes use

Cons
the glossary would have been more helpful if in the front like so many books have done.
Sometimes it can come off as to anti religion
some of the technologies can be a little to out there and one of the main characters actions did seems out there at times.

final score
6 out of ten stars
